Roxio Responds to Gracenote Lawsuit

Milpitas, Calif., May 10, 2001 - Roxio, Inc. (Nasdaq:ROXIv), The Digital Media Company, learned today that Gracenote, Inc. has filed a lawsuit containing various allegations against Roxio. Roxio believes that this lawsuit is baseless and without merit and will take whatever actions are necessary to vigorously defend itself.
